Procrastination must be my middle name!!! I've been in Omaha for the past month, and in my own defense I've gotten my liscense back, but that's about all. However, if I want to claim the "writer" title, I wouldn't be able to do that, because hey, I haven't been writing. It's what's known as classic writer's block--when there is so much going on in a writer's life there's no room to write. So I do what any aspiring writer does, I am forcing it. OK, here's the breakdown.

Atlanta--mid September (I think)-- I get pulled over for not having a license tag light. Due to the fact that I was riding around without any license, the police take me immediately to jail. I pay the cost to be bonded out, and get out.

Atlanta--mid November--I go to court by way of getting a high price ass lawyer, and get a deal that states as long as I can get my liscense back by the new court date in December then I won't have to go to jail. Georgia works my nerve because I know that a trip to Nebraska is inevitable. However, I get word that some successful international poets/singers are doing a compilation cd and I get involved.

Atlanta--mid December--found out that I have warrants for my arrest in Nebraska; one of them is for my violation of probation, and more than likely I'll have to do 30 days--not looking forward to that. Inform my high price ass lawyer of these facts, she reams my ass because I hadn't handled all that and she'll have to set me up for another new court date--she tacks on an additional $100--fuck!

Omaha--the day after Christmas--pay fine for the original offense from '05 DUI of $504 and call off the dogs for 2 warrants, get court date for Feb. 12th. Now worried because if the judge decides to send me to jail for 30 days it may conflict with my Georgia courtdate of March 13. Pissed, broke, mad!

Omaha--late December--planned to spend the new year in Omaha with the homies but my lady wants me to come there, so of course I go back just for her....awwwwww, you're so sweet Clarence (Nabraska)....takes my mind from being prepared to do 30 days back to a pseudo-reality...whatever!

Omaha early to mid January--happy new year; my court appointed Nebraska lawyer says that he sees another warrant for my arrest for violation of probation. I go upstairs to the courtroom to have to warrant cleared, but instead I get a new court date for the 22nd of March. This is not good.

Omaha--Feb 1-- I got invited by default to do a piece at Northwest High for a student assembly. I thought that it was for a cancelled Kwaanza celebration, but when I got there the topic was a history of music, and hip-hop, and how students relate and what they can do to save the music. It was good, I was throughly impressed with the principal there. I wasn't prepared to do a music piece, because I had prepared to do Open Letter to Sammi, so I wished them a Happy Black History Month and tore off into the poem. They dug it, I'm hoping that someone will get off into these schools and start working with these new up and coming poets!!

Omaha--currently Feb 2--pissed because this damn machine cut me off and I lost part of this fuckin' blog--I have to start to remember to save this shit. The internet is like my life, unstable and unreliable. However in any case support all artist, if they come thru then support them. Thank you to all those who have bought my cd's. I am being featured on a website/radio station this month so tune in to www.eadonsplace.com They have a radio station that does spoken word, and they're featuring some of my music so hit them up; they're also on myspace so please support that. I'll be at Micks this Sunday, and then at Shea's...I think that I'm the feature, and I'll also be featuring at Shea's again in about 2 weeks on Wednesday which is hip hop night; they'll have M1 from Dead Prez there, so come out to that and we can all get down with the revolution!

I had a really bad azz ending for this blog, but due to the fact this damn machine went down on me, this is what you're left with.

My procrastination has ended because I finally wrote something...even if's it's this funky ending blog. So support support support, and thanks to those who do!!

Uhuru!!
